Following his record-setting performance last Saturday against Tennessee, University of Alabama senior wide receiver DJ Hal has been chosen this season’s eighth recipient of the AT&T All-America Player of the Week award, the only major college football award chosen exclusively by fans.
Hall caught a school-record 13 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Crimson Tide to a 41-17 win over No. 20 Tennessee last Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Hall’s 16-yard pass from John Parker Wilson with 11:16 left in the second quarter gave the Tide a 17-14 lead it would never relinquish. He also added a 2-yard touchdown grab with 12 seconds left in the second quarter to give the Tide a 24-14 lead. Hall later added a pass reception on a two-point conversion as UA built a 38-17 lead in the fourth quarter.
Hall received 54% of the votes to beat out University of Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart 24%.
