William Ming, from Athens High School was the first news of the day when gave his verbal pledge during the week of the Tide's summer camp.
Ming, Scout.com four-star defensive end, is a 6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect who chose Alabama over several offers including Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.
Ming made 67 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and five sacks as a junior. He is rated the No. 6 best player in the state by the Tuscaloosa News and TideSports.com.
