University of Alabama sophomore linebacker Rolando McClain sustained a right thumb laceration against Mississippi State that required a surgical procedure Sunday, but he's not expected to miss any practice time or next week's game against Auburn.
Saban also announced that senior wide receiver Will Oakley sustained a non-football related collarbone injury that may require surgery. The injury, from a staircase fall, is probably season ending, which would end his career.
Junior running back Roy Upchurch (neck) and sophomore receiver Earl Alexander (shoulder) are expected to practice this week, but are still considered day-to-day. Upchurch was in uniform for MSU, but neither played.
Sophomore Terry Grant sustained a thigh bruise Saturday, which is why he didn't get any carries as a running back.
