South Carolina's defense is allowing only 18.3 points per game and ranks 15th in the nation in total defense. Another danger for the Tide is Gamecocks’ return man Chris Culliver, who is averaging 24.3 yards per return. Kick-off coverage has been suspect for the Tide, which ranks ninth in the SEC in kickoff coverage with a 39.3-yard net average.
